Christmas Party

And finally it was time to party! Roma and Ashley hosted the first Miss Naugatuck Valley Christmas Party. We ate great food, had millions of laughs, and exchanged presents. We even had Roma sign on as our staff photographer (yes, she had to sign a contract). We started off 2010 with a lot of smiles, and I know we will continue the rest of the year in the same light!

D.A.R.E Graduation

On December 8th 2009 I was invited to be the guest speaker at a 4th and 5th grade D.A.R.E graduation in Naugatuck. The students at the graduation were so excited for me to be there, and I felt so welcomed. I talked to the children and their parents about being involved in positive activities in order to stay away from drugs, and maintain a positive self image by believing in their future. I am so passionate about helping children to gain the tools that will help them create their own drug-free future!

Naugatuck Tree Lighting

On December 7th the Naugatuck Valley team was invited to attend the Naugatuck Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony. Unfortunately, I was very sick and unable to attend the Tree Lighting, however a few days before we got together at Phyllis and Ashley’s to make ornaments, and we were able to put the first Miss Naugatuck Valley ornament on the Naugatuck tree!! Arlene, Maggie, and Ashley represented Naugatuck Valley very well and I am so happy to have them as my “little sisters.”
